Port O'Brien are a band I only came across about 5 months ago, and after listening to few of their songs decided to buy their material and am gald I did as the albums are excellent. I had a chance to see them live twice last year but first time I left it too late to buy a ticket so they had sold out and the second time I was ill, but I hope to see them live soon, hopefully they do will a festical here in England next year at least.

They are folky which is always hit and miss for me, some of the more mainstream folky bands I find dull and boring, like Fleet Foxes for example and cannot listen to a whole album by them without wanting to turn it off, but Port O'Brien mix it up well and add some catchy music to it as well rather then just dull acoustic playing all the way through a song like some do.
